Volumetric pump is called the pump in which fluid moves through the periodic changes in the volume it occupies the chamber, alternately communicating with the inlet and outlet of the pump.
For positive displacement pumps include:
1) reciprocating – piston, plunger, diaphragm;
2) wing;

One of the gears – leading, the other – knowledge. When rotating gears volume of liquid falls between the teeth of gears, isolated from the suction and pressure lines, and then pushed the teeth into the pressure line.

The Grundfos MQ3 is also a self-priming multistage centrifugal pump. It can selfprime from a well depth of down to 26 feet within a maximum time of 5 minutes.
